Etched in time
Some times have passed
When moments froze
When time stood still
When rocks gave way
For streams to flow
For barren grounds
To have their fill
A sapling grew
To a mighty tree
And bore the fruits
For all she could
But some said
She blocks the light
And another
Felt she is firewood
Beneath the sheath
Of an earthly veil
With moistened eyes
She looks behind
For someone's worth
She lost her own
For some pain caused
She had been kind
Strange are the ways
The world behaves
Stranger still are
The way they think
A drop from an eye
Is left unseen
On a drop of a hat
They raise a drink!
Some times have passed
When moments froze
When time stood still
When rocks gave way
For streams to flow
For barren grounds
To have their fill
A sapling grew
To a mighty tree
And bore the fruits
For all she could
But some said
She blocks the light
Felt she is firewood
Beneath the sheath
Of an earthly veil
With moistened eyes
She looks behind
For someone's worth
She lost her own
For some pain caused
She had been kind
Strange are the ways
The world behaves
Stranger still are
The way they think
A drop from an eye
Is left unseen
On a drop of a hat
They raise a drink!
