Forever....

A leafless tree,
With endless roots
Aimless growth 
Mindless pursuits
What's the fate of a passing day?
Will night fall?
Who knows?

Still unnerved
The eyes look for,
A certain tomorrow
An image obscure
Wishful thoughts galore!

Deep below the leafless tree
The roots hold on
To mud and nothing
Still in search,
Of a spring,
Deep down within

On way back
To an abandoned home
Directions merge 
In circuitous maze
Which path to take?
Drops of sweat and shiver 
Mind oscillates,
Between never and  forever
