The sun that shone
Was overly bright
The dried up earth
Had no respite
In blows of wind
Sheer hot and dry
A sapling stood
With a silent sigh
Her delicate being
Withered in heat
She had no more
Her covering sheath
She bore the brunt
Of a breeze unkind
Kept looking around
No one to find
Feeling quite lost
In her time of pain
She thought her life
Will vile in vain
In intense fear
Of her dream's demise
A cloud rose up
From her moistened eyes
The shade of the sky
Saw a gradual change
It turned scarlet
At a distant range
The swelled up cloud
Could no more be chained
Its heart poured out
And then it rained
Was overly bright
The dried up earth
Had no respite
In blows of wind
Sheer hot and dry
A sapling stood
With a silent sigh
Her delicate being
Withered in heat
She had no more
Her covering sheath
She bore the brunt
Of a breeze unkind
Kept looking around
No one to find
Feeling quite lost
In her time of pain
She thought her life
Will vile in vain
In intense fear
Of her dream's demise
A cloud rose up
From her moistened eyes
The shade of the sky
Saw a gradual change
It turned scarlet
At a distant range
The swelled up cloud
Could no more be chained
Its heart poured out
And then it rained
